Chattanooga Whiskey
As we welcome the month of May our team wanted to highlight our favorite event of April, Chattanooga Whiskeys’ 10th Anniversary. In April Chattanooga celebrated one of its own, Chattanooga Whiskey. The city’s first distillery since the prohibition era held its 10th Anniversary in their beautiful event hall located at their Riverfront Distillery on Riverfront Parkway. Our team could not stop raving about their first experience at Chattanooga Whiskeys Riverfront Distillery from the food to the entertainment to the cocktails!
The whole team was in awe of the incredible experience at Chattanooga Whiskeys Riverfront Distillery. The food, entertainment and cocktails were all top-notch!
The Event
First, you are welcomed into the distillery after check-in with views of the different areas of the distillery. As you make your way to the event room you are able to view their barrelhouse where they can house up to 5,000 barrels. In addition, you have the opportunity to view the Solera room is home to their 4,000-gallon charred, white oak Solera barrel that finishes their Chattanooga Whiskey 91.
When you entered the beautiful panoramic event room, there were live music and local vendors as well as food trucks stationed outside. Our team enjoyed a mule paired deliciously with Founders Release Chocolate Truffles from Poppytons Patisserie!
Just 10 years after blending their first whiskey, the 1816 Reserve, Chattanooga debuted their 10th Anniversary Founders Blend. Celebrating the past 10 years and commemorating Chattanooga Whiskey’s founder and CEO, Tim Piersant.
The Blend
This blend is an ode to Chattanooga Whiskeys beginning in 2012. Their distilling roots began in Indiana until a Facebook Campaign called Vote Whiskey fueled locals to push legislation to lift restrictions and make Whiskey production in Chattanooga legal for the first time since the prohibition, 100 years before.
The Roots
Since their distilling roots began in Chattanooga, TN, and Lawrenceburg, IN the Founders Edition is Blended with 3 of their whiskey recipes taken from both locations. The founder carefully selected these mash bills to be symbolic of their whiskey’s unique influence in shaping Chattanooga’s community. Concluding that Chattanooga Whiskey reigns true to its creed “Rules are good, change them.”
