Top Hiking Trails In Chattanooga
1. Cravens House Loop
Cravens House Loop, located on Lookout Mountain is a 3.4-mile hike, popular with locals living on the mountain. Rich in history, scenic views, and wildflowers this is one of our favorite hikes on a Sunday afternoon. The trail is moderate but welcomes dogs that are leashed!
2. Glen Falls Trail
Looking for a hike a close drive from downtown Chattanooga? Glen Falls, located near Lookout Mountain, Tennessee is a moderate hike featuring waterfalls and is animal (leashed) friendly and only 2.3 miles out and back.
3. Stringers Ridge via Blue Trail
Stringers Ridge on Blue Trail is a short drive outside of Chattanooga. A great hike with very little distance commitment as it is 3.3 miles with views of the beautiful local wildflowers. More of a biking family? Mountain biking is welcome on this trail!
4. Greeter Falls Loop
From March to October you can expereince this hike near Altamont, Tennesse, a moderate hike that welcomes leashed dogs, hikers and bird watchers. Looking for a moderately rated hike? Greeter Falls Loop and Greeter Trail to Alum Gap’s 3.2 mile hike is a great option!
5. Little River Canyon
Just a short drive outside of Chattanooga is Little River Canyon, located in Alabama just under Lookout Mountain inside of Little River Canyon National Preserve. This Hike features 9 different hiking trails to choose from that include trails as short as 0.8 miles to 7.3 miles. Perfect place for those who aren’t sure what length of a hiking trail they are interested in.
